This web site is not Alexey Dymovsky’s home page nor does it belong to him. In fact, Dymosvky no longer belongs to himself. He belongs to the people who trust him and have faith in our country, the country which we OURSELVES can make a better place to live. Our views do not always match those of Dymovsky but we wholeheartedly second his call to stop keeping silent about what is going on in Russia. The time is well overdue to save our country.

Things cannot change overnight. Our current goal is to provide news coverage for those who fearlessly challenge the regime and its thriving culture of kickbacks and corruption. This project is also aimed at connecting individuals of different backgrounds, political views, and religious faiths, those who think that the future of our country is THEIR business.

At this moment:

Alexey Dymovsky:
it's the thirty-seventh day he has been in the Krasnodar prison.

Appeal of Alexander Simon, chief editor of the "Evening Yaroslavl" newspaper

Greetings, respected Dmitry Anatolievich! [Medvedev]

My name is Alexander Simon, I'm the chief editor of the "Evening Yaroslavl" newspaper.

With great interest did I listen to your speech addressing the Federal Convention, especially I was impressed by the first part where you say that corruption problem in Russia cannot be solved simply by plantings. [Note of the translator: the word "planting" which you would use e.g. for "Planting potatoes" is here used in the sense of "jailing"]. I wholeheartedly agree with this, the problem cannot be solved merely by plantings; it's difficult to speak for all of Russia, but if we take Yaroslavl, it's quite a typical Russian city, nothing extraordinary here, and so the main tune in the city orchestra belongs to the crooks. embezzlers and bandits of all kinds; very remarkable uniformity here is that you take any one crook or thief - it will be the member of "United Russia" party.

Government contracts are monstrously and shamelessly embezzled, the road constructors were brought here from Tjumen, and now they toss the asphalt into puddles, the asphalt sinks in the holes and goes to smithereens together with the federal money reduced in half.

“Heroic” special operation of brave police officers against a pregnant woman and a youth

Today on 28 Jan 2010 at 09:00 hrs, at the same time on two addresses in Novorosijsk City the local Drugs enforcement unit police officers started search of premises of Dymovskiy’s relatives: civilian wife named Olesja and stepbrother named Konstantin.

In order to disclose the methods of the Russian police operation against the pregnant woman, we will mention that Olesja, who was in her 9th month of pregnancy, was attended by five police officers and two witnesses at 08:00 hrs in the morning. The leaders of the police team were brave Majors of police Aleksey Zhuravel and Vadim Litvinov, officers from Krasnodar City. By the way, the used by the police officers witnesses were not local inhabitants from Novorosijsk, and there is no doubt they were specially engaged by the Ministry of Interior.

Olesja informed the unexpected “guests” that she was at home with her small child and was just afraid to open the doors, and also asked them to wait 15 minutes for her parents coming. But the brave law enforcement officers just broke the doors into the apartment, as they evidently considered Olesja a special dangerous criminal. They refused to produce any reason or official document regarding the search. Major Zhuravel told only that they suspected Aleksey and Konstantin in drugs trafficking.

We hope that you understand that nothing was found on two addresses, and it is obvious that they were searching for nothing. But two apartments were turned upside-down. Olesja’s six years old daughter went into hysteric, when she saw the men tearing apart and turning out her toys for unknown reason. The child was brought outside the apartment, where were Olesja’s parents, Aleksey’s friends and Vadim Karastalev, which urgently arrived when we informed them about the search.

"I’m going to Krasnodar regional prison"

It’s wonderful that Major of Police Aleksey Dymovskiy’s “arrest” precisely concurred with discreditable information “attack” in Internet. It gives an impression that the state machine finally started its system and discredit mechanism at full power.

According to media sources “in 2009, internal investigations were opened regarding Dymovskiy on citizens’ initiative”. The media sources avoided the fact that Aleksey’s appeal, which made an effect of bomb explosion, was dated one month earlier.

But for some reason, the general public did not receive access to investigation reports of Novorosijsk City Ministry of Interior Department on the subject of the Major and his followers’ appeals. At the same time, discredit campaign achieves power. The public opinion making mechanism is quite simple: until court trial, to “mud” Dymovskiy (“who is innocent?”), and the public opinion will react to the Major’s conviction on forced reasons in the way “it serves him right!” That will be the end.

According to Dymovskiy’s advocate the court trial was conducted in the best traditions of illegal “ordered” justice. The advocate’s application to study the investigation documents was not even taken into consideration, though every judge is responsible for motivated decision to accept or decline applications of advocates. The main reason of Aleksey’s arrest was that he allegedly threatened the investigators and witnesses, though no evidence was produced to the court.

The advocate noticed that the arrest on Friday night would make additional pressure on Dymovskiy as, for example, during the weekend he would not get ration food and private parcels. And we know very well how they treat the persons under investigation in our “special institutions”.

Happy holidays, dear Russian citizens! It seems that nothing has been changed in “this country” since old times of Karamzin, Russian writer in 1766-1826 years.

Keep in touch with us, we promise to update you on the matter.

Yours sincere, team of dymovskiy.name.

Reuters: Russia arrests YouTube police whistleblower

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia on Friday arrested a former policeman who gained national attention by posting a video about police corruption on YouTube, investigators said.

Former police major Alexei Dymovsky became a household name in Russia earlier this year when he used the video-sharing website to appeal to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to tackle corruption in the police force.

Dymovsky was arrested on charges of fraud and abuse of power, the Prosecutor-General's investigative committee said in a statement. He faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty, state-run news agency RIA reported.

The Independent: Police whistleblowers a YouTube hit

The Russian police force is under fire after a series of online videos from current and former officers appeared, denouncing it as permeated with corruption and malpractice.

The latest video, posted on YouTube this week, came from Mikhail Evseev, a former policeman from the northern Komi region. The video was presented as a personal address to the Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, asking him to help cleanse the police force of corrupt bosses.

The police force in the republic is beset by "corruption, falsification of cases, and 'ordered' cases against businessmen," said Mr Evseev. He noted in particular a recent case where two young men were sentenced to life imprisonment for burning down a shopping centre. Mr Evseev claimed to have documentary evidence of their innocence, which he sent to the prosecutor and other bodies but was ignored.
