About Us
Who are we and why are we doing all this?
We are regular Russian citizens, and two weeks ago we didn't even know each other. That video message of the ordinary policeman from Novorossiysk brought us all together. At first, nearly all of us took a grave view of his clumsy speech, and this kind of attitude obscured our understanding of the meaning of his actions. Anyway, the next day we started to join our forces to help Alexey. We all come from different backgrounds and all of us have families and children. We are fully aware how hard and dangerous our undertaking can become. At the same time we are also convinced in its absolute necessity for this country now. There are former officers of the police and other law enforcement agencies of the RF and other states among us. They know firsthand what is going on inside the system and in the country. It is totally up to you to decide whether it is the manifestation of our citizenship or not. As soon as we met Alexey right after his arrival in Moscow, and as soon as we started to receive an avalanche of supportive messages and calls from all over Russia and other countries, mostly from police officers, we realized that we had to fight that battle. It is the least we can do for the country where we and our children live.
None of us belongs to any political parties, PR projects, secret organizations, and, however hard it may be to believe, we do not have any links with the World government or any religious cults. However, mass media are convinced otherwise.
Alexey Dymovskiy does not belong to himself anymore, and it is a diagnosis, if we may say so; we have already ventured too far to stop. Too many people trust and support us.
Our goals and what we have already achieved:
We have done something what neither the President and the Premier, nor any of the many Ministers of the Interior could do in 20 years. We have shaken this bog to the bottom and set everybody talking about the issue of the Ministry of the Interior and the reforming of the whole system. We got the Ministry to give up their baculine policy. We got the heads of local police departments to think twice before treating their subordinates like dogs. Yes, we do see a lot of politicians and other popular public figures using this wave to claim their authorship by saying "I have been trying to raise the Ministry of the Interior issue for over ten years etc". It is not important. We should ask them why they have only been talking all this time. Where are the results of their talking? And how did a handful of people like us with no connections and funds manage to do all this, how did we do it? We believe it is much easier to oratorize when one's paycheck is fat enough and the moment is most auspicious. We are not here to judge them. We are open to solving this problem through a meaningful dialogue.
Our goals are simple:
Reforming the Ministry of the Interior and the whole system. We are convinced that the reforming ought to go from the bottom upwards which makes the Ministry its key target. Removing the Minister and other key figures from their posts will not help, it is obvious, and we have no intention to do so. We know and see that most Ministry employees are honest and respectable people, it is the system that hinders their work. Now horrible things are happening inside the Ministry: devoted officers are replaced by suspicious characters whose only aim is serving the power but not the people.
We are not in any way criticizing the authorities or stirring up a revolution (Heaven forbid!). The authorities have already shown us their attitude which is complete indifference. It is pointless to be offended by something so imperturbable and everlasting like, say, the Moon. It is time we all woke up to the understanding that it is us who need these changes.
Best regards, the team of www.dymovskiy.name.
