Letter from SRRD (Special Rapid Repsonce Division) soldier: SRRD is “dying”.

Let me unburden my mind!!! Can’t stand it any more! Revolt is about to happen in of combat division of Specialized Designation Police Detachment !!!

About one year and a half year ago a new officer was appointed in our division. Immediately after that our division was sent for an official trip to the Chechen Republic during which the *gnew*h commander absolutely failed as a leader of special division – panic behavior and inability to making decisions in difficult situations. Besides was revealed his craving for strong drinks which resulted in violent behavior, attacks on division members, manhandling cases, attempts to grab weapon. Military personnel had to twist arms of the fresh-baked *gleader*h and handcuff him to bed. The division doctor pulled him out of booze through medicine droppers, and after that the so-called leader for some time had model behavior, was as quiet as a mouse, apologized to everybody and was a sample of calmness and courtesy.

But the trip was over. Upon return, this so called leader organized a campaign on getting rid of those people who twisted and handcuffed him to bed, and all the members who dared say anything against his will were kicked out of the division. Repeated collective appeals to the Command detachment were not successful. The Command detachment wouldn’t listen!

In his 1.5 year of power lousy leader hardly ever (can be counted on fingers) joined tactical and other kinds of drills of the division, and last year military personnel drills nearly stopped. However he didn*ft forget to write out rounds on our names and bring his bandit pals (in literal sense) for shooting practice in the shooting room. And for all that, the Ministry of Interior determined the priority task of service activity for special divisions as official military training which was led for everybody but not for us. Our task was to sign in the certificates on use of service ammunition which was supposed to be given for shooting.

Nowadays our team for 50% is made up of “green” youth which is to be trained and given combat shakedown, but the leader has no time for that; instead he is spinning intrigues, snitching to the Division Command on his subordinates and being a double-faced person manages to trash the Command in front of the soldiers.

Last week psychologists from the Main department of Internal Affairs visited the division to check moral climate of our team. The results terrified experienced psychologists – complete parameters reduction in a year and a half from 100 to 30-40%.

But evidently an order was sent from higher authorities and instead of removing this boozer-leader they are now kicking out the last of the Mohicans, sending to other divisions the rest of the old team. It’s a sad fact that at the moment the division is left completely combat-ineffective and with the leader who is, put it mildly, double-faced and inadequate.

Now the situation is extremely tense, psychologists who had been counted on didn*ft help. But people (at least majority of them) are ready for fight to save the team , two members even tried to appeal to the Main department of Internal Affairs, in reply they received appointments to the Center of Psychological Diagnostics.

Where is the truth? Who shall we write to? Where to go? Those who know, help! SWAT division is “dying”.
