This web site is not Alexey Dymovsky’s home page nor does it belong to him. In fact, Dymosvky no longer belongs to himself. He belongs to the people who trust him and have faith in our country, the country which we OURSELVES can make a better place to live. Our views do not always match those of Dymovsky but we wholeheartedly second his call to stop keeping silent about what is going on in Russia. The time is well overdue to save our country.
Things cannot change overnight. Our current goal is to provide news coverage for those who fearlessly challenge the regime and its thriving culture of kickbacks and corruption. This project is also aimed at connecting individuals of different backgrounds, political views, and religious faiths, those who think that the future of our country is THEIR business.
At this moment:
Alexey Dymovsky: it's the thirty-seventh day he has been in the Krasnodar prison.
Investigator Motuzok met today Alexey Dymovskiy kept in Krasnodar prison following his famous anti-corruption video addressed to Prime-Minister Putin. Motuzok ordered to send Dymovskiy for a lenghty complex in-patient psychological-psychiatric assessment in a special unit of a mental hospital, scheduled to last at least for one month.
Investigator Motuzok doubted Dymovskiy`s adequacy based on statements about his faith, expressed wish to have arrest changed to any other type of preventive punishment as as he would have liked to go on pilgrimage and visit holy places.
Dymovskiy's lawers were surprised at a set of questions regarding his mental health structured in a way applicable to mentally ill people. They have not heard a fundamental question required for making this type of decision whether Dymovskiy was suffering from mental illnesses or had a history of mental disorders. Question was added to investigator`s decision at lawyers insistence.
Most likely Dymovskiy will have limited parcel deliveries and contacts with the outside world, that is no good news.
Motuzok has also informed that he would be checking new materials concerning Dymovskiy:
Chairman of the Interregional public organization of public figures and Human rights protection experts “Public Committee for Human Rights" Tamara Kvitkovsky demands to institute proceedings against Dymovskiy for publicly insulting the representatives of the authorities while on their duty and his arrest (altough he is already kept detained in Krasnodar prison).
She was making references to Dymovskiy`s Blog, where he called Prime-Minister Putin a "fool" (loch) and a "loser", Interior Minister Nurgaliev was named a "dwarf". "The Orthodox human rights activists" Kvitkovskaya of Tarusa, Kaluga region is known for lawsuits against journalists for xenophobia and "Harry Potter".
If according to Article 319 of the Criminal Code investigators find essential elements of the offence in actions of Dymovskiy, we may be witnessing the victims (Prime-Minister Putin and Interior Minister Nurgaliev) carrying the burden of proof and proving the contrary to the statements in Dymovskiy Blog. After all, we have the presumption of innocence. In fairness it should be noted that our history has a precedents: in 2004, blogger Andrew Skovorodnikov was sentenced to six months of correctional labour work for slang expressions and obscenities about Vladimir Putin, with 20% of earnings retained towards the state.
Importantly, investigator Motuzok requested explanation from Dymovskiy in presence of his lawyers on new materials emerged lately and announced to him today which are in no way related to the criminal case interrogation allowed for that visit.
Protection considered the act as a one of the methods of putting Alexey under pressure. Dymovskiy refused comments, citing Article 51 of the Constitution.
